THE CATALYST CUB'S MISSION
To provide in-home music & art, animal, and/or sensory therapy options to people experiencing various medical challenges with an emphasis on helping keiki and kupuna, though a Leo Club youth and Lions Club adult mentorship service program and in collaboration with community partners

Oahu's first and Hawaii's second community-based Leo Club sponsored by the Koko Head Lions Club, created and chartered by The Catalyst’s Club

HOW IT WORKS
The Catalyst Cub's Community Leo Club aims to pair youth with adult Lion's Club mentors & an established partnering leader (musician, artist, etc.) to fulfill scheduled therapy appointments. We have launched with music & art therapy, then a sensory basket program, & will eventually offer an animal therapy program. In-home visits could be via online platform or in person with an educational component use to educate the community about our program throygh various outlets such as social media, graphic design, & videography.

ANIMAL THERAPY

VISION STATEMENT
To enable leos and their Lion Mentors to provide compassionate animal therapy services, utilizing certified therapy animals or their own certified pets, to comfort and support individuals in need, including Kupuna and Keiki, while fostering youth leadership development and collaborating with other animal programs

MUSIC & ARTS THERAPY

VISION STATEMENT
To cultivate youth leaders through music, dance, and art therapy, empowering them to provide essential services to those in need, particularly Kupuna (seniors) and Keiki (children), while fostering leadership skills through collaborations with adult LION mentors and professionals, ensuring the highest quality of care and positive impact in the community

SENSORY THERAPY

VISION STATEMENT
To empower youth leaders in curating carefully customized sensory baskets, with Lion mentors providing guidance and support, to deliver tailored aid to individuals in need while creating opportunities for both participants and recipients to engage in situations where human interaction might be challenging or inaccessible

EDUCATION

VISION STATEMENT
To educate and engage the community through informative events and an online presence, showcasing the benefits of animal therapy, guiding on obtaining therapy pets, promoting our Leo/Lions Club, and equipping our youth leaders with various skills, including human and animal CPR, dog training, working community events, networking, and marketing.
